Vergnet: agreement with the Koman group in the Caribbean

(CercleFinance.com) - Vergnet has announced that it is joining forces with Koman, a group with expertise in sustainable infrastructure solutions, to deploy a range of solar-powered canopies to meet the growing energy needs of Caribbean island territories.


This partnership is part of a shared desire to contribute to the energy transition and sustainable development in a region particularly vulnerable to climate change.

Vergnet emphasizes that "solar canopies, which are true hybrid solutions, will not only provide a clean, renewable source of energy, but also offer versatile infrastructure for schools, markets and public spaces".

The first solar canopies will be installed in the Caribbean islands in the first half of 2025, with an initial capacity of several hundred kilowatts.

Ultimately, this partnership aims to equip a large number of sites in the region, helping to reduce the islands' energy dependency and stimulate local economic development.
