GE Vernova: validates hydrogen turbine technology

(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova announces that it has finalized the validation of its advanced Dry Low NOx (DLN) combustion technology for Class B and E gas turbines.


These tests, carried out in Greenville, South Carolina, confirm operation on natural gas, hydrogen-natural gas mixtures and pure hydrogen, with dry emissions below 25 ppm NOx.

This technology will be available from 2026 for new and existing Class B and E turbines.

This innovation eliminates the use of diluents, improves energy efficiency (4-7%), reduces NOx emissions and extends maintenance intervals.

GE Vernova is thus reinforcing its commitment to decarbonizing its industrial fleets, which number some 2,800 turbines installed worldwide.
