ABB: MoU with Epiroc in mining industry

The agreement entails develop integrated solutions for the mining industry, focusing on underground catenary electrical equipment.

The deal includes an in-depth feasibility study to meet the productivity, sustainability and safety requirements of mining operations.

Both companies, recognised for developing the first catenary electric truck system for underground mines with Boliden, see decarbonization as a priority.

The collaboration will focus on robust solutions adapted to harsh mining environments, with the aim of accelerating the sector's energy transition.
