Amazon: HSBC raises its target price

(CercleFinance.com) - HSBC announced Monday that it has raised its price target on Amazon from $225 to $270, saying it expects the US group to continue its favorable momentum into 2025.


The broker - which reiterates its buy recommendation on the stock - expects the Internet giant to beat consensus by 5% with its Q4 operating profit, after exceeding its provisions at the end of the last seven quarters.

According to the broker, Amazon should reap the rewards of its past investments this year, capitalizing on the scale of its acticities while making progress in the strategic areas of AI, cloud and advertising revenues.
