Eni: finalises Guajillo, its battery storage project

(CercleFinance.com) - Plenitude announces that its subsidiary Eni New Energy US has completed construction of Guajillo, its largest battery storage system to date.


Located in Webb County, Texas, this 200 MW facility uses LFP lithium-ion batteries to optimise the storage and use of generated energy.

Scheduled to be operational by mid-2025, Guajillo will help stabilize the local grid and support the growth of renewable energies.

Patrick Monino, Plenitude's Director of Renewable Energies in North America, points out that this achievement strengthens the company's presence in the US market, where it now has 1.5 GW of installed capacity.

Plenitude is targeting 8 GW of renewable capacity by 2027.
