Ahold Delhaize: acquires Delfood in Belgium

(CercleFinance.com) - Ahold Delhaize announces that its Belgian Delhaize brand has reached an agreement with louis delhaize group to acquire all the shares of Delfood NV.


The acquisition includes louis delhaize's 325 outlets, logistics activities and headquarters in Belgium.

It thereby aims to strengthen its position in the Belgian market - particularly the convenience segment.

The transaction, subject to approval by the Belgian Competition Authority, is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
