(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces, in partnership with Southeastern and Eversholt Rail, a major refurbishment of the Class 376 Electrostar fleet, in service since 2004.
Southeastern is a rail transport company operating commuter, regional and mainline train services in the south-east of England, including London, Kent and East Sussex.
Eversholt Rail is a British company that leases railway rolling stock.
The improvements include USB and power sockets at every seat, energy-saving LED lighting, new blue upholstery, and refurbished seats.
The work, carried out at the Ashford maintenance center, begins with the first units in service this spring, while the interior refurbishment will be completed before the end of the year.
