Volkswagen: charger partnership with XPeng

(CercleFinance.com) - Chinese smart electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng announced on Monday the signing of a memorandum of understanding in charging stations with German automotive giant Volkswagen.


Under the terms of this strategic collaboration, both partners intend to jointly deploy one of China's most extensive networks of ultra-fast charging stations.

This aims to eventually offer over 20,000.000 chargers, which will be operated by both groups in 420 cities across the country and accessible to both XPeng and VW customers.

This is the fourth step in their long-term cooperation, which has so far encompassed mainly technological elements.

Founded in 2014 in Guangzhou (China), XPeng now has offices in Amsterdam and Silicon Valley, and is listed on the New York and Hong Kong stock exchanges.
