Exail: an acquisition in the laser sector

(CercleFinance.com) - A long-standing player in the photonics sector within its advanced technologies segment, Exail Technologies has announced the acquisition of Leukos, a company specializing in lasers, including supercontinuum lasers.


Employing around twenty people, this French company generates annual sales of around three million euros, with an EBITDA margin close to that of the Exail group. Its acquisition is financed by available cash.

Leukos has specialized for several years in the development of technology-dense products, such as pulsed microlasers, supercontinuum laser sources, and ultrafast lasers in the mid-infrared range.

Although modest in size, this operation paves the way for significant technological and commercial synergies for the group, by combining Leukos' skills with its expertise in special fibers and integrated optical systems', says Exail.
