Rolls-Royce: Eurojet signs contract for 59 engines

(CercleFinance.com) - Eurojet Turbo, the consortium responsible for the EJ200 engines installed on the Eurofighter Typhoon, has signed a contract with the NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency (NETMA) for the supply of 59 new EJ200 engines to the Spanish Air Force.


The EJ200 engine is the result of a collaboration between Rolls-Royce, MTU Aero Engines, ITP Aero and Avio Aero.

Rolls-Royce will play a central role in the production of the engine modules, bringing its expertise and innovation to meet the requirements of the Spanish Air Force.

The contract was signed at the Getafe air base in Madrid as part of the second phase of the Halcón acquisition project.
