Vinci: water treatment contract in Australia
(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci, through its subsidiaries Seymour Whyte and Vinci Construction Grands Projets, has won a contract to modernize and expand the capacity of a wastewater treatment plant in Canberra, Australia.
The A$385 million (€236 million) contract calls for the construction of a new membrane bioreactor with a treatment capacity of 97 mega-liters of wastewater per day, using innovative filtration technology.
The consortium is committed to implementing numerous measures to protect the environment. This project is the first in a 10-year construction program scheduled to start in 2025, and will employ up to 250 people at peak capacity.
