EDF: start-up of the Flamanville EPR
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF has announced that its teams completed the first connection of the Flamanville EPR to the national grid on Saturday, at 11:48 a.
m., with the Flamanville 3 reactor generating 100 MW of electricity.
After this first coupling, in accordance with the start-up procedure, the testing and connection/disconnection phases to the grid will continue for several months, under the supervision of the ASN, until the reactor reaches 100% power.
The volume of electricity generated from the first coupling until the first shutdown for scheduled maintenance and refueling (Inspection Visit N°1) is estimated at around 14 TWh.
