Toyota launches two PHEV models in Japan

(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota announces the launch of the Alphard and Vellfire plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models in Japan, the country's first PHEV minivans, from January 31, 2025.


Enhanced gasoline and hybrid (HEV) versions will be available from January 7, 2025.

These vehicles, redesigned in 2023, aim to offer comfortable, quiet mobility, ideal for families and VIP use.

The PHEVs benefit from a high-capacity lithium-ion battery, guaranteeing greater stability, enhanced comfort and an electric-mode range of 73 km, meeting the needs of both daily commutes and long-distance journeys.

The manufacturer points out that these models contribute to carbon neutrality and reflect its strategy of multi-channel electrification to meet a variety of needs.
