Apollo: EU approves proposed acquisition led by Oaktree

(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU Merger Regulations the European Commission has approved the acquisition of sole control of Apollo Group ('Apollo') by Oaktree Capital Holdings LLC ('Oaktree'), both of which are based in the US.


The transaction mainly concerns the food and beverage distribution market.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given the limited market positions of the companies resulting from this transaction.
