Siemens: Signs major contracts in Thailand
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Mobility has signed major rail contracts in Thailand to transform public transport.
The contract covers the delivery of 32 new trains for the Orange Line and the provision of comprehensive services, from design to integration of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as maintenance services.
It also covers the delivery of 21 new trains for the Bangkok Blue Line, including signaling upgrades to improve headways, and maintenance services.
Siemens Mobility will supply advanced signaling and telecommunication systems to improve intercity connectivity for the railways in northern Thailand.
' With 53 new trains, advanced signaling and telecommunication systems and long-term maintenance services for the Orange Line, Blue Line and main routes in the north of the country, even more people will be able to reach their destinations quickly,' said Michael Peter, CEO of Siemens Mobility.
