SES: launches two more O3b mPOWER satellites
(CercleFinance.com) - SES announced the successful launch of two additional O3b mPOWER satellites aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida, at 5:26 p.
m. local time.
Both will join the six other O3b mPOWER satellites already in service in Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), to continue the ramp-up of the initial O3b mPOWER constellation.
SES has been deploying the high-performance network services of its O3b mPOWER constellation since April 2024 to customers in Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and throughout the Americas, across multiple market segments.
O3b mPOWER is our most powerful, flexible and technically advanced satellite constellation currently in orbit. As we complete it, we are at the same time exponentially increasing the capacity and efficiency of our network, SES management said.
