ABB: new collaboration with WorldGBC

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB's Smart Buildings division has announced a new collaboration with the European Regional Network (ERN) of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC), to promote sustainable and energy-efficient building practices across Europe.


ABB has joined the WorldGBC's European Regional Network as a regional partner to drive progress in low-carbon and energy-efficient building.

This partnership will contribute to compliance with key sustainability frameworks, such as the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), while supporting a consistent approach to building policy development across Europe, the group says.

With buildings responsible for around 30% of final energy consumption and 26% of global GHG emissions, the opportunities for impact are enormous, ABB said.
