Lockheed Martin: successfully launches GPS III satellite

(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin announces that the GPS III SV07 satellite, designed for the US military, has been successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.


Assembled in Littleton and transported overland due to airborne constraints, the satellite is equipped with M-code, an advanced military signal offering greater resistance to jamming.

According to Lockheed Martin, it will enhance security and accuracy for US and allied armed forces, while supporting essential civilian sectors.
