Aegon: share buyback program finalized
(CercleFinance.com) - Aegon announced on Monday that it had finalized the 200 million euro share buyback program it unveiled last May, with the aim of redistributing its excess cash to shareholders.
Between July 8 and December 13, the Dutch insurance group acquired 34,968,762 of its own shares at an average unit price of 5.7049 euros.
In a financial notice, Aegon says it intends to cancel the repurchased shares by the end of the year.
