Costco Wholesale: Q1 EPS up 13%
(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening, Costco Wholesale reported Q1 EPS of $4.
04 (ended 24 November), compared with $3.58 for the same period last year.
The group points out that its EPS for the past quarter includes a tax benefit (related to stock compensation) of 22 cents per share, compared with a non-recurring effect of the same type of 10 cents per share a year earlier.
Net sales for the quarter rose by 7.5% to $61bn as reported, including 7.1% LFL growth, excluding the impact of changes in gasoline prices and exchange rates.
