Largo: partnership with Bouygues Telecom, share price rises
(CercleFinance.com) - Largo, a specialist in the reconditioning of technological products, posted one of the strongest gains on the Paris market on Thursday, following the signature of a strategic partnership with Bouygues Telecom.
The Nantes-based group reports that the cell phone operator has decided to distribute its refurbished smartphones under the Largo brand to enhance its offering in this field.
These products will initially be offered via the Bouygues Telecom Entreprises B2B network, and subsequently through its network of over 500 boutiques in France, as well as on its website.
The agreement comes as the number of users of refurbished smartphones has almost doubled in six years, with a recent Kantar study showing that 45% of French people have already owned a second-hand smartphone, compared with 27% in 2018.
At mid-day, Largo shares were up over 10%, putting them on track for a 20% rise this year, compared with a 6% decline for the CAC Mid & Small index at this stage of the year.
