Dollar General: annual targets tightened down
(CercleFinance.com) - On its quarterly earnings call, Dollar General said that it now expects EPS of between $5.
50 and $5.90 for its fiscal year ending January 2025, tightened down from a previous forecast range of around $5.50 to $6.20. The company is also now expecting annual sales growth of about 4.8% to 5.1% (+1.1% to 1.4% on a same-store basis). NB: pmt +1.9%.
Similarly, the retail group now expects annual sales growth of only around 4.8% to 5.1% (+1.1% to 1.4% LFL), compared with the previous target range of around 4.7% to 5.3% (+1% to 1.6% LFL).
Dollar General's Q3 EPS fell 29.4% to $0.89, despite sales that rose 5% to $10.2bn. However, sales rose by only 1.3% LFL.
