ABB: completes acquisition of American Aurora Motors
(CercleFinance.com) - ABB announced that it has completed the acquisition of Aurora Motors ($4 million sales), a US supplier of vertical motors for pumps with engineering operations in Shanghai and a headquarters and distribution center in Hayward, California.
This acquisition is in line with ABB's profitable growth strategy for its Motion business.
It will enable the NEMA Motors division to broaden its offering, strengthen its supply chain and improve support for its global customer base.
ABB points out that the global market for NEMA motors, worth $3.4 billion, mainly concerns North American industry and various sectors such as food, energy, mining and water treatment.
