TotalEnergies: acquisition in Germany and sale in Texas
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces that it has signed an agreement with the Swiss asset manager Partners Group to acquire the VSB Group, a German-based developer of renewable energy projects, for 1.
57 billion euros (equity and shareholder loans). VSB has more than 475 MW of renewable energy capacity in operation or under construction, and a pipeline of 18 GW of wind, solar and battery storage technologies (BESS), mainly in Germany, Poland and France. In addition, TotalEnergies has signed an agreement with the Apollo investment fund for the sale of 50% of a 2 GW portfolio of solar projects and BESS systems located in Texas, a transaction that will bring in $800 million in cash.
