TotalEnergies: contract with SPPC in Saudi Arabia

(CercleFinance.com) - The consortium comprising TotalEnergies and Saudi developer Aljomaih Energy and Water Company (AEW) has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) for the 300 MW Rabigh 2 solar project.


The solar power plant will be developed, built, owned and operated by the consortium, with grid connection scheduled for 2026.

It also demonstrates our ability to supply more energy with fewer emissions, while contributing to our growth in electricity and renewable energies", said Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies.
