Siemens: Riyadh's metro train soon operational

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens announces that the BACS consortium - led by Bechtel, and in partnership with Almabani, Consolidated Contractors Company and Siemens Mobility - has completed delivery of the blue (line 1) and red (line 2) lines of the Riyadh metro, covering 64km and equipped with 67 Siemens Mobility Inspiro trains for fully automated operations.


This project represents a major development in public transport in Riyadh, offering a fast, safe and environmentally-friendly mass transit system.

Passenger operations on the Blue Line will begin on 1 December, and on the Red Line on 15 December.
