Toyota: global sales up 0.8% in October
(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota reports that it sold a total of 974,245 vehicles in October, up 0.
4% y-o-y. This is the firsst time in 3 months that the group's sales have been up on the same period a year earlier.
In detail, in October, sales of the Toyota brand rose by 1.4% (to 903,103 vehicles), while those of Daihatsu fell by 13.2% (60,544 vehicles) and Hino sales rose by 2.6%, to 10,598 vehicles.
On the production front, the group announced that it had produced a total of 1,021,799 vehicles in October, down 1.3% (the 3rd consecutive month of decline), with -0.8% for the Toyota brand (893,164 vehicles), -6% for Daihatsu (115,495 units) and +5.3% for Hino, with 13,140 units produced.
