Mercedes-Benz: enhances its automatic parking system

(CercleFinance.com) - Mercedes-Benz announces that the Active Parking Assist system with PARKTRONIC has been enhanced to park twice as fast, at 4 km/h, providing a more comfortable experience for its customers.

The parking process can be initiated via a digital button, and a status bar indicates its progress.

The automaker reports that the system detects spaces at less than 35 km/h, even in narrow spaces with 50 cm margins. Automated parking options include forward or reverse maneuvers for perpendicular spaces.

In terms of safety, sensors warn of danger and, if necessary, activate autonomous emergency braking to protect users, including during manual maneuvers.
