Philip Morris: IQOS is 10 years old
(CercleFinance.com) - Philip Morris International announces that its flagship smokeless product, IQOS, is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Launched in Japan in 2014, IQOS has contributed to a 46% decline in smoking prevalence in the country, according to a public health survey.
Now available in more than 70 markets, IQOS generates over $10bn in annual revenues and is used by 30.8 million adults, Philip Morris says.
Smoke-free products now accounted for 38% of PMI's net revenues in the third quarter of 2024, up from 0% in 2014.
