Toyota: takes steps to improve certification
(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota Motor Corporation announces that it has submitted a progress report to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) on measures taken to prevent its certification problems, in accordance with the corrective order issued by the Ministry on July 31.
Specifically, the report lists a series of measures: increased awareness of legal compliance, management field visits (genba), revised responsibilities and processes, and the use of digital technologies to reduce human error. Toyota has also introduced educational programs and strengthened data management related to certifications.
The company conducts continuous improvement (kaizen) activities to optimize its processes at all levels, from planning to sales, and strives to regain stakeholder trust through coordinated group-wide efforts.
