GE HealthCare : partners with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center

(CercleFinance.com) - GE HealthCare today announced its collaboration with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Australia) to develop and explore the clinical and research opportunities offered by its whole-body PET/CT imaging technology.


The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre will use this technology for its cutting-edge research in molecular imaging and cancer patient management.

' With a global increase in cancer cases of 77% predicted by 2050, it is crucial to invest in research and technologies to better understand and manage this disease', said Prof. Michael Hofman, Nuclear Medicine Physician and PET/CT Program Leader at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
