Thales: SFO allegations disputed by the Group

(CercleFinance.com) - In a brief press release, Thales confirms that the French Parquet National Financier and the UK Serious Fraud Office have opened an investigation concerning four group entities in France and the UK, in connection with the execution of a contract in Asia.


Stating that it is cooperating fully with the PNF and the SFO, the defense electronics group "contests the allegations brought to its attention" and affirms that it "complies with all national and international regulations".

Thales shares are down by more than 5% in Paris following the opening of this investigation by the SFO, which says it suspects bribe payments and is conducting its investigation in collaboration with the PNF within their respective areas of jurisdiction.
