USA: weekly jobless claims fall
(CercleFinance.com) - The Labor Department reports that 213,000 new U.
S. jobless claims were registered in the week ending November 11, down by 6,000 on the previous week, when the figure was revised from 217,000 to 219,000.
The four-week moving average - more representative of the underlying trend - came in at 217,750, down by 3,750 on the previous week.
Finally, the number of people receiving regular benefits rose by 36,000 to 1,908,000 during the week of November 4, the most recent period available for this statistic.
