GE Vernova: Prolec GE completes expansion project

(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova reports that Prolec GE, a joint venture between Xignux and GE Vernova - has completed a $34m expansion project at its Caddo Parish, Louisiana facility.


The expansion, which began in early 2023, added a third production line for three-phase transformers for renewable energy networks, while increasing the capacity of the existing lines by 15%.

According to Prolec this expansion improves annual production by 1,500 units and strengthens the resilience of the US power grid.

This expansion illustrates the collaboration between Prolec, GE Vernova and local stakeholders to meet the challenges of the energy transition.
