Meta: a way to reconfigure content on Instagram

(CercleFinance.com) - Instagram, a subsidiary of Meta, lifted the veil this Tuesday on a new feature that will enable users to reset their content suggestions.


The social media company explains that it is currently testing a way for teens to reset content recommendations in Explorer, Reels and their feed so that they can 'start from scratch'.

"We want to ensure that all Instagram users, especially teens, have safe, positive, age-appropriate experiences," Insta explains in a post on its corporate blog.

In addition to providing protection against sensitive content through 'teen' accounts, the social network explains that it wants to ensure that teens can 'shape' their Instagram experience so that it continues to reflect their passions and interests as they grow.

For example, it recently unveiled in the US, UK, Canada and Australia a new way for teens to choose the subjects they want to see more of, whether it's books, travel, cooking or sports

Its new reconfiguration feature is due to be rolled out worldwide over the next few weeks.
