BAE Systems: contract with US Army for MCSKS system
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems announces that it has been awarded a follow-on contract with the US Army for the development of its Multi-Class Soft Kill System (MCSKS), designed to protect combat vehicles against guided missiles and other threats, enhancing their survivability and mission effectiveness.
The contract is for the further development of the Stormcrow and TERRA RAVEN laser countermeasures, integrated into the electronic warfare-based Active Protection System (APS).
According to Jared Belinsky, Director of Integrated Survivability Solutions at BAE Systems, these technologies offer active protection that effectively neutralizes modern threats, contributing to a comprehensive approach to electromagnetic warfare.
The modular, cost-effective systems combine multifunctional sensors, intelligent processing and electromagnetic emitters for adaptive response to threats in a variety of environments.
