GE Vernova: $2.7M funding to detect H2 leaks

(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova announces that its advanced research activity has been selected by the U.
S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA-E) to receive $2.7 million in funding as part of the H2SENSE program.

The program aims to support innovative approaches to the detection and quantification of hydrogen leaks throughout the supply chain

' The ability to detect and quantify hydrogen will enable safe and economic expansion of the hydrogen economy while reducing its climate impact ', said ARPA-E Director Dr. Evelyn Wang.

Called H2-LOCATE, the $2.7 million GE Vernova project is being carried out at GE Vernova's Advanced Research Center in Niskayuna, New York. It is expected to provide 'essential solutions to support the expansion of the hydrogen economy'.
