Atos: Eviden launches new HPC software

(CercleFinance.com) - Eviden, the strategic subsidiary of Atos, announced on Monday the launch of a new software product designed for high-performance computing (HPC) environments.


Called 'Qaptiva HPC', this software will enable research centers and enterprises to extend their computing power by deploying quantum emulation capabilities on their existing advanced HPC architecture, without integrating additional hardware.

The first version integrates an emulator with which users can run larger and faster simulations.

Eviden states that it stands out on the market for its ability to manage large-scale simulations in an environment of distributed nodes located in HPC clusters to emulate a large number of qubits.

It is currently being used as part of the hybrid HPC quantum computing platform and the HQI research program, for which it has already enabled emulations of up to 43 qubits using dedicated computing resources.

Eviden brings together the advanced computing, cybersecurity, AI and cloud businesses of the Atos technology group, which is currently undergoing major restructuring.

The entity, which employs some 41,000 people, generates annual sales of around E5bn.
