Burberry: Stifel raises target price
(CercleFinance.com) - While maintaining its 'hold' recommendation on Burberry, Stifel has raised its corresponding target price from 720 pence to 830 pence, having increased its 2026 EBIT forecast by 25%, 'driven by cost savings and tight control of operating expenses.
New CEO Joshua Schulman has presented a new strategy for Burberry, the broker recalls, notably pointing to a pragmatic approach to categories in which the brand lacks authenticity, such as handbags.
Stifel adds that while Burberry has many challenges ahead, it is taking sensible steps to stabilize the business, including a new cost savings program and addressing its excessive inventory problem.
