USA: import prices rebound in October

(CercleFinance.com) - Import prices rebounded by 0.
4% in October, driven mainly by a recovery in fuel prices, the Labor Department announced on Friday.

In September, import prices had fallen back by 0.1% due to a 7.5% drop in gasoline prices.

Fuel prices rose by 1.5% last month, bringing the increase in the non-energy statistics to 0.2%.

Over 12 months to the end of October, import prices rose by 0.8%.

The Labor Department also announced this morning a 0.8% rebound in export prices in October, following a 0.6% fall the previous month, giving an annualized decline of 0.1%.
