Alstom: half-year adjusted net income up 28

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom reported sales of €8775 million for the six months ended September 30, up 3.
9% as reported (+5.6% organic).

Adjusted operating income came to 515 ME, up 17.6% on a reported basis, with an adjusted operating margin of 5.9% (vs. 5.2% a year earlier).

Adjusted net income for the first half came to ME 224, compared with ME 1754 a year earlier, an increase of 28%.
FCF came to ME -138, compared with ME -1119 a year earlier.

At the end of September, the company had received orders worth 10,950 ME (+30% in organic terms), taking the order book to 94,369 ME (+3.2% in organic terms).

"Demand remains robust, supported by green mobility policies, and is proving resilient in the face of geopolitical tensions, and we have achieved a solid commercial performance in this first half," commented Henri Poupart-Lafarge, Alstom's CEO.

For fiscal year 2024/25, Alstom expects organic sales growth of around 5%, an adjusted operating margin of around 6.5% and free cash flow generation in the range of 300 to 500 million euros.
