Vinci: wins contract from Veolia

(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci Construction, through its subsidiaries Vinci Construction Grands Projets (mandataire), GTM Sud-Ouest TP GC and Chantiers Modernes Nouvelle-Aquitaine, has been awarded the design-build contract for a new household waste-to-energy plant by Veolia.


Located near Brive-la-Gaillarde, the plant will replace the existing one. It will have a treatment capacity of almost 10 t/hour (79,000 t/year), or the annual equivalent of waste produced by 200,000 inhabitants.

In addition, this project worth over E100m - employing almost 200 people at peak activity - will improve the site's environmental performance through the installation of latest-generation flue gas treatment tools.
