FDJ: towards its first bond issue
(CercleFinance.com) - La Française des Jeux (FDJ) announces that it will be meeting with investors over the next few days with a view to launching, subject to market conditions, its first bond issue, for a total of E1.
5bn.
Divided into three tranches with maturities of six, nine and 12 years respectively, it will be used to refinance the bulk of the E2bn bridging loan drawn down on 7 October to finance the acquisition of Kindred shares for almost E2.5bn.
FDJ is also finalising a E400m loan, syndicated with banks and repayable over five years. This financing will also be used to repay the bridging loan, which will be paid off from the company's cash position.
