Siemens: new range of IPCs with Nvidia

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens has announced the launch of a new range of industrial PCs (IPCs) equipped with GPU technology, marking a further step in the strategic partnership between Siemens and Nvidia launched in June 2022.


With an extended AI offering, it is part of the Industrial Operations X portfolio, available on the Siemens Xcelerator platform, and will accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) applications, the German group explains.

The integration of Nvidia's technology should enable Siemens IPCs to handle complex AI tasks in advanced industrial automation, such as AI-based robotics, quality inspection or predictive maintenance.

Siemens estimates that its new combined offering with Nvidia will accelerate on-site AI execution by 25 times, which will help reduce costs and speed time-to-market for customers.
