USA: slight decline in wholesaler inventories in September
(CercleFinance.com) - US wholesaler inventories fell by 0.
2% in September compared with the previous month, according to the Commerce Department, following a 0.2% rise in August (revised from the initial estimate of +0.1%).
Wholesaler sales, meanwhile, rose by 0.3% in September. As a result of these divergent trends, the time taken to clear inventories shortened slightly month-on-month, from 1.35 to 1.34 months.
