Stellantis: 'major' strategic agreements with Infineon
(CercleFinance.com) - Stellantis has announced a partnership with Infineon Technologies around power architecture for electric vehicles.
The idea is to support Stellantis' ambition to offer 'clean, safe and affordable mobility for all'.
The companies have signed 'major strategic agreements', notably around the supply of Infineon's PROFETTM intelligent switches, silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors and AURIX microcontrollers.
According to Stellantis, these agreements will form the basis of a planned collaboration to develop the next generation of energy architecture.
The partners also intend to set up a joint power laboratory to define the next generation of scalable, intelligent energy architectures, enabling Stellantis' software-defined vehicle.
As outlined in our Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, we are securing the supply of essential semiconductor solutions to continue our transition to an electrified future by leveraging innovative electrical/electronic architectures for our next-generation platforms," said Maxime Picat, Chief Purchasing and Supplier Quality Officer at Stellantis.
