Arkema: EBITDA up over 5% in Q3
(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema reported net income from recurring operations that is down slightly (-5.
1%) at E168m for Q3 2024, or E2.25 per share, while EBITDA rose 5.4% to E407m, representing a margin that rose 0.4 point to 17%.
The chemical group said that this improvement in EBITDA was notably driven by significant progress in adhesives and advanced materials, as well as greater resilience in the US and Asia.
Sales rose 2.9% to E2.39bn, with volumes up 2.2% in an environment of generally weak demand, particularly in Europe, and a price effect that was fairly stable at -0.2%.
As the rebound in the macroeconomic environment has not yet materialised, the group is targeting FY 2024 EBITDA at the lower end of its guidance range, of E1.53bn.
