Vallourec: creates new operations department

(CercleFinance.com) - Tube manufacturer Vallourec announces the creation of a new Operations Department, headed by Bertrand Frischmann, member of the Executive Committee and Chief Operations Officer, to further strengthen its global performance.


This new department incorporates a strengthened Process and Engineering Department, which now includes the Process Communities, the Global Engineering Department and the Investment Department, and will be headed by Philippe Carlier, member of the Executive Committee.

In addition to North and South American operations, the Operations department will also oversee the Eastern Hemisphere industrial division, as well as the purchasing, supply chain, quality and industrialization, and operational excellence functions.

This organisation, which marks a new stage in the implementation of the New Vallourec plan, takes effect today. As part of his new responsibilities, Bertrand Frischmann will be based in Meudon, near Paris, from next summer.
