Thales: presents AI solution against underwater mines

(CercleFinance.com) - At the Euronaval trade show in Villepinte, France, held from 4 to 7 November, Thales will present its Pathmaster solution, incorporating advances in artificial intelligence (AI) for mine countermeasures.


Thales says that this technology enables the classification, identification and neutralization of sea mines, with a sonar analysis application, Mi-Map, that processes data four times faster.

Thales says that AI improves efficiency while protecting crews.

Pathmaster has been certified for autonomy by the IMO in 2024, reinforcing its ability to detect and analyze underwater threats.
