Eni: sells $1bn of assets to Hilcorp
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni announces that it has completed the sale, to Hilcorp, of 100% of the Nikaitchuq and Oooguruk assets held in Alaska for value $1bn.
The transaction, which has received the approval of all relevant authorities, is in line with Eni's strategy of streamlining its upstream activities by rebalancing its portfolio and disposing of non-strategic assets, Eni says.
Eni is committed to generating a net portfolio inflow of E8bn over the 2024-27 plan. Taking into account the transactions concluded and the actions underway, Eni now expects to reach the target by 2025, in under two years.
Eni says that it will continue to operate in the upstream Gulf of Mexico in the US, as well as in energy transition projects in renewable energies, biofuels and magnetic fusion.
